Good Riddance, Big Tuna!

So, Bill Parcells "retired" as head coach of my beloved Dallas Cowboys today. Well, I could not be happier...unless he had actually delivered when he was still their coach and had them headed to Miami for a Super Bowl matchup with the Colts. Instead, I (along with legions of other Cowboy fans) ended up being treated to four seasons of .500 football with nothing more than two playoff defeats to show for it.

It's been obvious pretty much since he first took the Cowboys job that his heart wasn't in it, and that he was just hoping to coast by on past glory. Unfortunately, nothing even remotely approaching said past glory would ever happen here during his uninspired tenure.

What will happen to "The Big Tuna?" Where will he end up next? I really don't care. What's important is he's not HERE anymore! I only hope Jerry Jones brings in someone with the hunger to win, rather than the hunger for an endless supply of cheeseburgers.
